Grow 04:42
Where are you now? Now that I need you? Feels like the world is falling apart. Tossing and turning, it's 3 in the morning, the weight of the world has shattered my heart. But I know you won't leave me here alone And I know pain will make me grow When will you come? I need to see you I need to hear your salvation song. When freedom will ring and relentlessly sing that redemptions come to write all our wrongs. But I know you won't leave me here alone and I know pain will make me grow. I'll grow.

Control 03:20
Standing tall in your high rise You look down with condescending eyes The success ladder is standing proud But it's built for falling down falling down falling down You say it's simple just start to climb but we all know how you got up so high you think that it was easy but it's easy to ignore When you're born on the top floor the top floor the top floor But I know who's in control And I know he's got a hold And I know He won't let go He won't let go of me, won't let go of me Watch me jump Watch me rise I defy gravity so watch me fly Nothing is impossible nothing is too grand When I'm in my father's hand father's hand father's hand But I know who's in control And I know he's got a hold And I know He won't let go He won't let go of me Won't let go of me I'll overcome I'll overcome My faith is strong my faith is strong He'll make it right He'll fix the wrongs He won't let go of me Won't let go of me

Refugee 03:29
On a road Traveling across the land Far from home Far from where I've ever been I need somewhere to rest I need somewhere to call my own Can't go back to where I left Can't go back to what I called my home Remember Me Danger surrounds me on every side Paranoid, cause death waits by my bed at night I need somewhere to sleep I need somewhere to rest in peace and if I die before I wake I pray the Lord my soul to keep Remember Me Remember Me Remember Me The Refugee

Love. The only thing that matters to me. The only thing that keeps me going. My wife and family Are the only thing that keeps my sanity. So how? How did you expect us to survive? Cause with no job I cannot provide. And if liberty and life, Are my basic human rights, Then somebody tell me why. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. Now. You say that I've done something I should regret But you don't see that I'm just trying my best. So with hands that were meant to protect You choked me to death Over a cigarette. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. Don't cry for me, Fight for me, Fight for us. Don't cry for me, Fight for peace, Fight for love.

Glow 04:11
You always dreamed That life would be with strings and things to ease the pain and make the heartache easier You always thought That night would fall with marvelous lights that shine so bright to make the darkness sweeter I just wanna let you know that I see you I hear you I feel you Keep your glow Don't lose your soul And when life is hard don't ever let go Your words are true Your heart is gold Tie a knot when you're at the end of your rope Keep your glow It's not a play That actors fake upon a stage and manipulate so life can go there way It's a long hard road With ups and downs and highs and lows and stops and goes that all take their toll And I wanna let you know that I see you I hear you I feel you Keep your glow Don't lose your soul And when life is hard don't ever let go Your words are true Your heart is gold Tie a knot when you're at the end of your rope Keep your glow Oh the nights in a fight but it loses everytime Keep your shine Keep your shine If the clouds in the sky stop the sun from shining bright Don't you cry, you'll be alright Keep your glow Don't lose your soul And when life is hard don't ever let go Your words are true Your heart is gold You're my shining light, a perfect piece of hope Glow

about

Crisis: Songs of Freedom is more than a compilation of songs, it is a movement. One artist shedding hope and peace through perspective, hoping that a tiny pebble will create a ripple of humans making waves all over the world. Created in turmoil and shaped under pressure, Crisis is filled with diamonds.

This is my most vulnerable work yet. These are my thoughts that I've written down at 3am when I can't sleep. These are the songs that I sing when I find myself and my country in crisis and I don't know what else to do. These are my answers to the social, emotional, and political questions that we all wrestle with: why do bad things happen to good people? What is hope? What do I do when it seems like there is no good option?

2016 has been a rough year for all of us. I hope these songs find you in your brokenness, and mobilize you into action all throughout 2017. Let hope fuel you. Let love drive you. Let peace sustain you. Find your life, even in the midst of Crisis.
